Attendees at the 2022 IWCE “Connecting Critical Communications” Expo in Las Vegas witnessed a live demonstration of Teltech’s XTD-120 Tethered Drone solution by the Verizon Frontline Response Team. Verizon Frontline, the advanced network and technology built for first responders, helps keep crisis teams connected, communicating, and collaborating by providing public safety agencies with innovative solutions designed to meet the unique and evolving needs of first responders – including drones.
Teltech’s XTD-120 tethered drone has transformed disaster response with its reliable fly-by-fiber flight control which enables the drone to fly up to 500-feet above ground. That combined with its payload capacity of up to 22 pounds and virtually unlimited power supply make it perfect to provide cell service to a large radius when cell tower antennas are damaged in a storm, for example.
Ideal for crisis intervention, dangerous industrial tasks, data collection in remote areas, or even offering patrons Wi-Fi at an outdoor event, the ways the XTD-120 tethered drone can contribute are endless. The systems are customizable and free from interference, impervious to data theft, or command or control hacking.
