Since our founding in 1999, Teltech Group has worked diligently to become a more sustainable company. Our commitment to green business practices is reflected in our efforts to reduce waste, embrace remote work, optimize our supply chain, and enhance energy efficiency, among others. We have significantly lowered our carbon footprint through emissions reduction, water conservation, and continuous training on environmental and social governance.
Recently, Teltech committed to even bolder steps to address climate change, aiming to protect both the planet and the long-term health of our industry. Specifically, we have pledged to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our entire value chain by 2030. To support this ambitious goal, we have aligned our strategy with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Net-Zero Standard, keeping the global temperature rise to no more than 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, as outlined in the Paris Agreement. Our near-term targets include achieving an 50% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and an 50% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030, with full Net-Zero targeted by 2050.
We will publicly report on our progress towards these goals in our annual Sustainability Report, which will be available on our website. Teltech believes in the power of collective action, and we are actively engaging our partners and suppliers to commit to these efforts as well, amplifying the positive impact of corporate responsibility on climate change.
