Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) announced finalists for their Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2023 Southwest Award program. Teltech CEO, Lisa Hanlon, is a regional finalist and was selected by an independent panel of judges. She and other entrepreneurial business leaders nominated for this honor were evaluated based on their demonstration of building long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact, among other core contributions and attributes.

Lisa and the team at Teltech Group have driven success with an entrepreneurial approach since the company’s founding in 1999.  An excellent example of this was the repurposing of a surplus of telecom cabinets as portable solar power solutions to deliver electricity to unserved commercial and residential structures in mountainous Colorado years ago.  Lisa, along with former CEO of QuEST Forum and COO of TIA Fraser Pajak, took those, then designed and built a tethered drone solution powered through them to provide wireless connectivity in crisis situations.  Recently, Verizon used Teltech’s tethered drone to restore communications to Sanibel Island, FL and to provide first responders with critical aerial awareness in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

Now in its 37th year, Entrepreneur of the Year is one of the preeminent competitive business awards for transformative entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who are building a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous world for all.

Regional award winners will be announced on June 24, 2023 during a special celebration in Dallas.
